Shinedown is an American hard rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2001 by vocalist Brent Smith.

The current lineup consists of Smith, drummer Barry Kerch, guitarist Zach Myers, and bassist/pianist Eric Bass

They have released seven studio albums, with an eigth on the way, and are recognized for their success on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with many #1 singles.
