Released by Virgin Records July 27th 1993, Siamese Dream is the Smashing Pumpkins' second studio album. Produced by Butch Vig and front man Billy Corgan, this album delves into the band's drive to produce something that outshined the Pumpkin's first studio album, Gish, something ambitious and like no other, they set out to make an origianl album that didn't fit within one genre. With the bar set so high there was much strain on Billy and the band, but eventually this was channeled into the Siamese Dream we have today. Billy found much inspiration from chilhood memories and turmoil, and used Siamese Dream as a vessel for the stress and pressure he felt during the making of the album. The album was released about four months after the intended date and subsequently over the intended budget, but what we recieved is the epitome of better late than never.
